Lincoln Memorial

Today is May 30, 1922. Daddy came home with very exciting news; apparently some large building is under construction in Washington D.C. called the Lincoln Memorial. I'm so excited about it! President Lincoln was my favorite president, mostly because he thought that everyone should be treated equal, and did everything in his power to make sure that our country understood what was right and wrong. Daddy is a lot like President Lincoln. He scolds us when we do wrong, always teaches us values and morals, and treats everyone how they should be treated, no matter what. We traveled to the countryside two days ago... It is so beautiful out there. Daddy saw some little children on the side of the road and gave them some water to drink. It was so dusty, of course, the road was not even paved, but simply dirt. I was so shocked at how people live out there. I bet they are so nice though. That is all for today, thanks for stopping by!
